Head Office / Warehouse System

Our Retail Management System (RMS) has been designed to centrally control all aspects of your retail business.

With any retail chain, a high level of control and process centralisation is needed for effective management. RMS has been designed to centrally control the key aspects of your retail business. It manages and monitors your stock, range, prices, promotions, stores, warehouses, people, sales and profits. It tracks all the accounting information and feeds it directly into your General Ledger and other financial systems. It also detects fraud and helps in loss prevention.

The tools in RMS also give you centralised control over internal store processes. By using Retail Directions software, retailers can drive a unified customer experience across all store locations. With the use of system-wide settings, you can ensure that functions such as returns, exchanges, lay-bys, gift vouchers and discount coupons are treated the same way in every store. However, if you need to individualise each store to respond to local challenges and needs, RMS can do that too.

When appropriate, multiple, alternative versions of various business processes are encoded within the RMS system. This allows for easy reconfiguration to cater to specific retail business requirements, without the need for software changes. Unlike the provision of a generic tool set (so typical of many other tier-1 systems or pre-configured generic systems), this flexible approach allows for rapid implementation and for easy changes at a later stage, when business requirements evolve.

If you need to run multiple brands on the one system, or have hundreds of thousands of Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), or need multiple barcodes for each item or have one to 1000+ stores, you need RMS. RMS is built to cope with all of these scenarios because it has been built for retail. And there's no need to worry about system constraints hobbling your business, as Retail Directions software is designed to grow with you - adding on and managing registers, stores and brands as needed.

An integral part of our Head Office system is SalesCube® - our interactive Sales, Gross Profit and Stock performance analysis tool. It replaces over a thousand traditional reports and enquiries.

SalesCube® provides you with the ability to view sales and stock information by store (or group of stores), over any period of time, and by product (or any product grouping). It gives you lightning-fast access to cubed (pre-processed) product performance information. Comparative information is also available to view your results against a budget, a revised budget, another store, another state, a previous year, or any specified period. The data can be viewed for one or more stores, by product grouping or by individual product, for any week or combination of weeks.

The Quadrant Analysis tool available within SalesCubeŽ has prompted many retailers to change the way they do business. It provides a visual representation of how a division, product category or even an individual item performs - simultaneously in terms of sales and profit. It allows retailers to instantaneously recognize under-performers and make decisions about how to treat them in the future.
